01 · The world

The world runs on chips. And it wants more.

Phones, cars, data centres, AI. Every one of them is built on semiconductors, and demand has never grown this fast.

02 · India's moment

India's turn. A market set to triple.

Design centres, fabs and packaging plants are rising across the country. The whole value chain is coming home.

03 · The mission

₹1.27 lakh crore. A nation has decided.

India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 backs everything from chip design to equipment, materials, packaging and talent, in every corner of the country.

04 · The people

Money builds fabs. People build chips.

India already holds about a fifth of the world's chip-design engineers. By 2030 it needs lakhs more, across design, fabs and packaging.

05 · The gap

The talent is everywhere. The bridge isn't.

500 universities are joining the national chip-design programme. Each needs curriculum, trained faculty, working labs and a road to real jobs.

06 · The spark

Somewhere in Guwahati, a student opens a laptop.

In every college, in every city, the same spark is waiting for someone to show it how a chip works.

Representative journey

07 · The journey · Learn

First, you learn how a chip thinks.

CMOS, logic gates, digital design. The alphabet of every processor ever made.

Semiconductor & VLSI Foundations
07 · The journey · Build

Then you build one.

A real RISC-V processor, written in Verilog, one pipeline stage at a time.

RTL Design · RISC-V Processor & SoC
07 · The journey · Prove

You break it. You fix it. You prove it.

SystemVerilog, UVM and testbenches. Verification is where most chip-design hiring happens.

Design Verification
07 · The journey · Graduate

Then it becomes real.

Packaging, assembly and test, the work India's new plants are hiring for. And a graduation cap that means something.

Packaging, Assembly & Test
08 · A world opens

So many roads. ISEI walks every one with you.

Into industry with placement support. Into research, an M.Tech or a PhD. Into design centres around the world, or government labs and PSUs. Or into founding India's next chip company, with mentors who have done it.

09 · One roof

ISEI brings it all under one roof.

Universities, students, industry and government, connected in one place, so learning leads straight to work.

Universities

Curriculum, faculty training, labs, placement and industry connections.

Students

Real projects, industry tools, placement support.

Industry

Job-ready engineers, custom programmes, research tie-ups.

Government & states

Skilling aligned with ISM 2.0, reported cohort by cohort.

10 · The ripple

Universities make engineers. Engineers make chips. Chips make India.

Every partner campus sends a ripple outward: into students' lives, into industry, into the economy, into the country.

11 · The vision

India 2035: a $200 billion chip industry. Built by students like these.

From Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram, from Ahmedabad to Imphal. Every figure on this map is a student who learned to design a chip.

Illustrative. Each figure stands for a partner campus.

12 · Together

Lakhs of students. One mission. India builds its own chips.

This is what ISEI exists for. Bring your university, your company or your state into it.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Who can join ISEI programmes?

Engineering students (especially ECE, EEE and CS), recent graduates, working engineers moving into semiconductors, and faculty members. Universities, companies and state departments can partner with us for whole cohorts.

Do I need prior chip-design experience?

No. The Semiconductor & VLSI Foundations track starts from CMOS and digital logic, then moves into RTL design, verification and beyond.

How does a university partnership work?

It runs in five stages: a first conversation, an MoU, curriculum mapping and faculty training, student cohorts, then placements and outcome reporting. Use the form above to start.

Is ISEI a government institute?

No. ISEI is an independent institute run by Semicon Education Private Limited. Our programmes are designed around the talent goals of India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, and we work with government bodies as partners.

Do you offer placement support?

Yes. We connect learners and partner campuses with our industry network for internships, hiring drives and interviews. Placement depends on individual performance and employer requirements, so we support but do not guarantee jobs.

What formats do programmes come in?

Certificate programmes, semester modules for partner universities, faculty development programmes and corporate upskilling.

What are the fees and next batch dates?

Fees and cohort dates depend on the programme and format. Send an enquiry, email us or call, and we'll share the current schedule.
